INFORMATION

The South Coogee Volunteer Bush Fire Brigade station is located on the corner of Poletti Rd and Buckley St in Cockburn, Western Australia.

Staffed by Volunteers, we are operated both by the City of Cockburn and the Department of Fire & Emergency Services. Operational and capital costs are funded by the Emergency Services Levy.

Our primary role is to provide fire supression and prevention services to the residents of the City of Cockburn located west of the Kwinana Freeway.  Our fire prevention role within the Category 1 fire district is supportive to Fire and Rescue.  In times of emergency we are available to assist at incidents in other local government areas, in DEC reserves and where requested throughout Australia.  South Coogee also provides support to the State Emergency Service Volunteers when required.

The brigade is extremely active in the community, providing advice related to preparedness of households for bushfire threats.  For more information please visit our Community page.
